Howey In The Hills is a small town with a wide mix of houses — older block homes near the lake, newer builds out past the highway, and plenty of places where the air handler is tucked into a closet somebody clearly never expected a technician to reach. Certified Air Masters LLC is a family-run business owned by Frank and Ruth, and Howey is part of our everyday service area rather than a drive we only make when the schedule is thin.
Repairs and replacements for Howey In The Hills homes
Most of the calls we take fall into two groups. The first is a system that was working yesterday and isn't working today — it's blowing warm, it's tripping the breaker, it's icing up, it's running constantly without pulling the house down to temperature, or there's water showing up where water shouldn't be. We come out, find the actual cause, and tell you what it will take to put it right.
The second group is a system that's simply done. When a unit has reached the end of its life, repeated repairs stop being the sensible option, and the conversation shifts to replacement. For HVAC installation we look at the house as it is — the size of the space, the ductwork you already have, where the equipment sits — and recommend a system that fits it, not whatever happens to be on the truck. If a repair is still the better value, we'll say so.
- Diagnosing and repairing air conditioning and heating systems that have stopped cooling, stopped heating, or stopped running altogether
- Replacing systems that are past the point where further repairs make financial sense
- Routine maintenance to keep an existing system running through a Central Florida summer
- Honest answers about whether a unit is worth fixing or worth replacing
A written estimate before anyone picks up a tool
You get a written estimate before work starts. That means you know the scope and the number in advance, in writing, and you can take your time with it, compare it, or talk it over with somebody else in the household. Nothing gets added partway through a job without a conversation first.
Because this is a family business, the people quoting the work and the people standing behind it are the same people. Frank and Ruth are reachable, and that tends to keep everybody honest in a way that larger operations struggle with.
Hours, pricing and service area
We're open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am to 1:00pm. We're closed Sunday. Pricing is confirmed in your written estimate before we begin, so there's no guessing involved.
