Tune-ups and seasonal maintenance for Central Florida cooling systems
Certified Air Masters LLC is a family-run HVAC company owned and operated by Frank and Ruth. Maintenance is a big part of what we do, because in this part of Florida an air conditioner runs most of the year and rarely gets a long rest. A system that gets looked at on a schedule tends to tell you about its problems early, while they are still small and cheap, instead of on the first genuinely hot weekend of the year.
We handle tune-ups for homeowners across the Clermont area and out through greater Orlando, Lake County and north Osceola. Whether your unit is two years old and under warranty or fifteen years old and nursed along, the visit is the same idea: find out what condition it is actually in, tell you plainly, and fix what needs fixing.
What Frank and Ruth look at on a maintenance visit
The exact checklist depends on the equipment in front of us — a heat pump, a straight-cool split system and a package unit all want slightly different attention. In general, a maintenance call is where we go through the parts of the system that get dirty, clogged or loose over a Florida cooling season:
- Indoor and outdoor coils, and how much airflow is actually getting through them
- The condensate drain line and pan — the usual cause of a wet ceiling or a shutdown switch tripping
- Air filter condition, and what size and type your system should be running
- Refrigerant pressures and how the system is performing against them
- Thermostat settings and whether the system is cycling the way it should
If everything checks out, we tell you that and leave. If something is marginal, we would rather you hear it now, with the option to plan for it, than in July.
A written estimate before any repair work starts
If the visit turns up a repair, you get a written estimate before any work begins. No work starts until you have read it and said yes. That is how we run every job, maintenance or otherwise — you should never be standing in your driveway guessing what a number is going to be.
You see the price in writing first. Then you decide. That is the whole arrangement.
Pricing on a tune-up depends on the system and whether you have one air handler or three, so call or email and we will give you a figure for your home rather than a range that means nothing.
