Breakdowns we get called out on
Certified Air Masters LLC is a family-run HVAC company owned by Frank and Ruth, and a good share of our week is spent on systems that stopped working with no warning. A house full of warm air in July or a heat pump that won't fire on a cold January night is the kind of thing we move other work around for.
If any of the following is happening at your place, treat it as a breakdown rather than something to watch for a few days:
- The outdoor unit is silent or humming without the fan turning
- Air is blowing but it's warm, or barely moving at all
- Ice built up on the refrigerant lines or the indoor coil
- The breaker trips every time the system tries to start
- Water around the air handler or a drain pan that keeps filling
- A blank or unresponsive thermostat
- Heat that won't come on when the temperature drops
What happens after you report a breakdown
We keep the process short, because the part you care about is getting cool air back. Here's the order it goes in:
- You tell us what the system is doing, what it sounded like when it quit, and roughly how old the equipment is.
- We give you the earliest slot we have and tell you which day and window to expect us.
- A technician diagnoses the actual cause on site rather than guessing at it from the driveway.
- You get a written estimate covering the repair before anyone starts turning wrenches.
- Once you approve it, we do the work and show you what failed and why.
If a part has to be ordered, we say so plainly and tell you what we can do in the meantime instead of leaving you wondering.
Hours, pricing and service area
We're open Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 1:00pmand we're closed Sundays. Messages left outside those hours get picked up when we open. You can also reach us at certifiedairmastersllc@gmail.com — email works well for sending photos of a model number or an error code on a thermostat screen.
Nothing gets charged that you haven't seen in writing and agreed to first. We don't quote repair prices over the phone before a technician has looked at the equipment, because an educated guess on a breakdown usually turns out wrong in one direction or the other.
These are the communities we cover:

A written estimate lands in your hands before any work starts
That's the one thing we won't bend on, and it matters most on an emergency call — when a system fails, people feel pressure to say yes to whatever is suggested. A written estimate takes that pressure off. You read what the repair is, what it costs, and then you decide.
If you'd like to see how that has gone for other homeowners before you call us, our reviews are public on Yelp, Angi, Facebook, Instagram and Nextdoor. Read them and make your own call.
To get an emergency HVAC service visit scheduled, call Certified Air Masters LLC at (689) 224-0820 during our open hours and tell us what the system is doing. We'll get you on the schedule and show up when we said we would.
