Mini-splits for the rooms your ductwork never reached
A ductless mini-split is two pieces of equipment working as one system: a compact outdoor condenser and an indoor head mounted on the wall or ceiling, connected by a small line set through a three-inch hole. There is no duct run, no return grille and no plenum, which is exactly why it solves problems a central system can't. One head conditions one zone, with its own thermostat and its own setting, so the room gets cooled on its own terms instead of borrowing air from the rest of the house.
In Central Florida that usually means one specific room that has always been a problem. If you have spent a few summers closing a door on a space you paid to build, a mini-split is generally the shortest path to using it again.
- Garage conversions and finished workshops with no duct access
- Room additions where the existing air handler is already maxed out
- Sunrooms, lanai enclosures and Florida rooms with a lot of glass
- Bonus rooms over a garage that run ten degrees hotter than the hallway
- One bedroom that never matches the thermostat reading
- Detached offices, casitas and studios on their own power
- Older homes with no attic or soffit space to route new ductwork
A written estimate before anyone drills a hole in your wall
Certified Air Masters LLC is family-run by Frank and Ruth, and the part they care most about is that you know the number before the work starts. Every job gets a written estimate first. Nothing gets mounted, no line set gets run and no refrigerant gets charged until you have read that estimate and said yes to it.
Here is how a mini-split visit normally goes:
- We look at the actual room — size, ceiling height, window area, sun exposure and what it's used for.
- We talk through where the indoor head and the outdoor condenser should sit, including the condensate drain route and the electrical.
- You get a written estimate covering the equipment and the labor.
- Once you approve it, we schedule the install and set the system up.
- We start it up, check the charge and the drain, and show you how to run the remote and clean the filters.
If you already have a mini-split and it has stopped cooling, is icing up, is leaking water onto the floor or is throwing an error code at you, we work on existing systems too — same approach, written estimate, then the repair.
Hours, pricing and the towns we cover
We're open Monday to Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am–1:00pm, closed Sunday. Pricing is quoted per job rather than guessed at over the phone, because a single-head unit in a 200 square foot office and a multi-zone system across three rooms are not the same piece of work. The written estimate is the price.
We cover Clermont and a wide stretch of Central Florida around it:
- Lake County: Clermont, Montverde, Ferndale, Groveland, Mascotte, Astatula, Howey In The Hills, Yalaha, Tavares, Mount Dora, Eustis, Leesburg, Okahumpka, The Villages
